Saint-Bonnet-le-Chateau

Situated at the gateway to the Auvergne, in the south-western part of the Loire département, and close to the Haute-Loire and Puy-de-Dôme départements, at an altitude of 850 metres, the town is located at the top of a rocky promontory at the southern tip of the Forez mountains, from where it is possible to enjoy a panoramic view stretching from the Forez plain in the north to the Pilat massif and the Alps in the east.
