Programmation

For its first appearance at the La Chaise-Dieu Festival, the ensemble La Néréïde performs an original programme. The “heart and mind” series offers a plunge into the precious, spiritual, risqué and tormented France of the early eighteenth century. Through the repertoire, which was intended in particular for institutions for young girls, such as the famous Maison de Saint-Cyr, the soloists imagine the musical life a young girl torn between passion and devotion, between religious sentiment and human emotions, between her heart and her mind.
